The humerus maximum length was 310mm which was around the range of a female. The epicondylar width of the humerus was 52mm and that was a bit less than the female average. All of the humerus measurements were less than average for a female. With all of this information, we made a final conclusion that this was a female. Next we needed to find out the race of this person to determine who they actually were. We first took a look at the nose. The nasal index was .45 and we found that by taking the nasal width divided by the nasal height (20/44). The nasal spine seemed to be prominent, the nasal guttering did not seem to have a ridge, the prognathism was prognatic, and the shape of the eye openings were rounded and somewhat square. Then height had to had to be determined buy using the maximum length of the tibia and humerus. Since we have concluded this person is a white female we used the equation for Caucasian females which was 2.9(MLT) + 61.53 +/- 3.66 and got a range of 162.27cm-169.51 using the tibia. With the humerus we used the equation 3.36(MLH) + 57.97 +/- 4.45 and got a range of 154.32cm-163.22cm. Then the…
