For Instance, one of his best novel was a Christmas Carol, this novel explains with precision why the industrial revolution turned off the sense of humanity of some people in Great Britain. To take case in point, this novel is about a man called Ebenezer Scrooge, that was a selfish and self-centered person. He owned a business with Jacob Marley and then Marley died. He was always angry and didn't bond with his family members. Indeed, Fred; his nephew, invited him to a christmas dinner invitation and he refused as a result. By saying he hates christmas, because he thought it did not mean anything except for a waste of money. Another way, you can affirm that he was selfish could be when he refused to give any kind of money to help provide food for the poor. Then, he went to his house and he received a visit from three different ghosts. One of the ghost was from the past. The second was from the present. The third was from the future. Their purpose was to change Scrooge attitude of being selfish and not helping others with necessities. Then he realize that he was not going to stay with his money when he die. His first literary work was "Sybil" and it turned out been very popular. Thanks to the way he expresses perfectly the effects of the industrial revolution on the people. His writing was drastically affected by the industrial revolution, because like I said before, he was a politician and he knew what was happening in the government. So the only way he had to tell the world was by writing. Benjamin's novel was written with a third person narrator and his novel got a great mix of the reality Great Britain people had and some romance between the main characters. In other words, the events that were happening turned out been an inspiration in work. So lets gets straight to the point, this novel is about the brother of a Lord, called Charles Egremont. He assumes the identity of a journalist called Mr. Franklin, to uncover the truth of the working class. Following this, he goes to several manufacturing towns in the northern region of Great Britain. Therefore, he realizes that Great Britain was divided in two different worlds. The main problem, would be the aristocracy that was predominating in the country. Moreover, in one of the places Egremont visited, he met Walter Gerard and his daughter Sybil. Not long after, falls in love with Sybil, but he is not the only one.
