Uniform circular motion |
A motion in which a particle moves in a circle with a constant speed. It is a case of acceleration motion |
Particle moves in a circle with constant speed |
What is centripetal acceleration and formula |
In order to maintain such motion an acceleration acts at right angle to the direction of velocity. This acceleration is called centripetal acceleration and it acts along radius towards the center of circle. Centripetal acceleration = v²/r=rw² |
What's Centripetal force and formula |
It is the force directed towards the center. It's magnitude =mv²/r=mrw² |
