This concert was performed at the Memorial Union theatre. The stage was set with 3 small sections of seating that could fit around 200 people. The seats were arranged in a way that created an atmosphere that felt much like an amphitheater. The stage is set with 3 small sections of instruments that all face the audience. One section is the Conga drums, the second is the piano and cello, and the last section is the drum set. The stage and the performers are set to a black backdrop that provides the background. The most important aspect from the audiences view is that the lights are only on the stage, providing all the attention in one direction. With regards to the audience, all patrons are wearing a variety of different attire, which leads…

Out of the countless amounts of music that were listened to during the 80s, I enjoyed listening and watching the music videos, Conga, sung by Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine, and La Bamba, by Ritchie Valens. To illustrate, Conga was an upbeat, fast-paced, and catchy song. Additionally, the lyrics were simple, yet fun. Not to mention, the music video was very colorful, creative, and artistic. Using show girls, the music video reminded me of Las Vegas showgirls. Also, I loved how they used…

I talk a specified that güiro because it was the best played instrument of the night. The güiro was being played by one of the females. She was incredibly good at it. Small instruments like the güiro, the claves tambouring or maracas don’t really stand out much, but this lady made it happen. In-between songs, she was switching back and forth from the metallic güiro to the traditional and one. She was really good with both, but she was better with the metallic güiro. Beautifully crafted, Carole King’s album Tapestry is a work of art that I am glad that I got the chance to listen to it. To have such wonderfully created music is a gift. I am glad that she shared her own life experiences to create these songs. Unlike Taylor Swift, I feel as if her interpretations are more realistic and meaningful. She has lyrics that provide a realistic outlook on love and life. These songs are able to connect with the listen to a more profound and thoughtful level. With that…

That is a line with people dancing and moving around the room or if your outside, don’t let it stop! Another thing is the snakes as fashion accessories. People have a lot of courage to put that huge snack around their neck and take pictures. They find that amazing. Little Havana also offers tours of the city. The best thing about Miami, little Havana is the…
